Aquarius Watermuseum
Built in 1893 by August Thyssen, the water tower provided industry and houses with water for many decades. After it was closed down in 1982, today the tower houses the Aquarius Watermuseum powered by RWW Rheinisch-Westfälische Waterworks Company and is a fountain of knowledge concerning the "wet element".
At the top of the tower, the visitor enjoys a fantastic view over Mülheim and its neighborhood. Tours through the museum start in the dome, offering many multimedia-stations to experience the different facets on your own. More than 30 stations accompany you down to the bottom of the historic watertower.
