Camera Obscura / Museum Prehistory of Film
In 1992, the world's biggest walk-in Camera Obscura was installed inside the dome of the old Broich watertower. On the other three levels of the tower, the visitor finds the "Prehistory of Film" exhibiting pieces of the collection "S" of collector KH.W. Steckelings. They are the historic heart of the exhibition, that takes the visitor to a fascinating time travel through the world of visual sense, optical illusions and physical backgrounds of the moving picture.
