There are about 250 km of hiking paths in Mülheim in the area of woodland in the west of Mülheim called Uhlenhorst( the old towpaths along the river).

Several books and maps are available at the tourist information center that inform the visitor about popular routes and roundtrips, e.g. the official "Hiking and Riding-Card".
